A three-day long golden jubilee celebration of Council of Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches (CCCRC) commenced on Saturday under the theme “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” Marking the commencement of the glorious celebration, CCCRC executive secretary Rev. Z. David Koza dedicated the golden jubilee monolith at CCCRC Mission Centre, Chetheba in Phek district.
CCCRC vice chairman Pulo Koza led the dedication service while blowing of the jubilee trumpet was done by CCCRC field evangelist Miileto Nienu.
CCCRC chairman Rev. Zaseyi Veswiih dedicated the jubilee memorial park while Mission Centre Gate was dedicated by CCCRC Ordination Board chairman Rev. Zhowhiiyi Nyekha.
It was followed by consecration of tabernacle at Multi Purpose Hall Thenyizu led by Rev. Sanyi Nyekha, senior pastor Chesezu CRC.
Earlier, the memorial stone of the first revival movement (1958) at Khulazu Basa among Chakhesang tribe was unveiled by Rev. Zhowhiiyi Nyekha in commemoration of CCCRC golden jubilee.
Also, the memorial stone of first prayer centre (1963) among the NCRC was laid at Chesezu Nasa by Rev. Buliechii Koza, senior pastor Sodziilhou CRC in commemoration of the CCCRC golden jubilee.
Later, the evening worship service took place at Multi Purpose Hall Thenyizu wherein Rev. Dr. Vevozo Khamo, vice president Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) addressed the congregation.
He said at present there are 35 revival churches and 2 fellowships under CCCRC.
Rev. Khamo said that jubilee was a time for reconciliation and a time to forgive and forget the past misdeeds. He stressed on the need to preach the gospel, do missionary works, preach to the poor and heal the broken hearted and restoring vision to the blind.
Welcome address was delivered byGolden Jubilee Organizing Committee chairman Kiihusayi Nyekha.
The evening service was led by Sapi Puro, pastor CRC Chikri Nasa Colony, Pfutsero. Jubilee greeting was shared by Rev. Dr. Kecha Seyie, chairman ACRCC.
The service witnessed special songs from Phek Area CRC Association and Chozuba Area CRC Association.
On September 9, the morning worship service will be held on 10 am with NCRC mission secretary Rev. Dr. Imchayanger as the speaker. Pastor Victor Ogbe, Christ Embassy Church, Nigeria will be the speaker at the evening worship service.
