Rengma Hoho (RH) on Sunday said it had taken serious note of the statement of NPF Tseminyu division president and GB of Tesophenyu Village (Upper), Ahino Tep, and resolved to derecognize his GB’ship. In a press release, RH president Kenyuseng Tep said Ahino had totally contradicted and directly confronted the wisdom and decision of the hoho.
Despite being part of the hoho executive, RH said Ahino had gone against the directive of the apex body, which was totally detrimental to self and affront to the community as a whole. Besides derecognizing his GB’ship, RH also resolved not to allow Ahino to hold any leadership and responsibilities within the Rengma community.
RH further cautioned all its members not to make any derogatory remarks and unnecessary statements in the near future.
