Extra assistant deputy commissioner headquarter of Kobulong under Mokokchung district celebrated its golden jubilee (1966-2016) at its office-cum- EAC residential premise on December 30.
Addressing the programme, EAC Kobulong, Trongdiba Tongpi stressed on the development of EAC Hq Kobulong. He assumed that they were more than 500 plus gazetted officers from Asetkong range alone. However, he said that if one look at Kobulong in the present state then one could easily see the negligence of the past years.
EAC Hq Kobulong would be the platform for every citizen of the range, he, therefore, urged upon the people of the range to prioritize development of the EAC Hq cutting across clans or villages. “If Kobulong develops the range will develop” he asserted.
Earlier, EAC unveiled the jubilee monolith and dedicatory prayer was pronounced by pastor Kobulong Baptist Church, O Alang while short speeches were also delivered by president Asetkong Mungdang, A Nungsang Jamir and chairman village council, Imli Aier.
Khanimu, and Rongsennukshi Aier , president Asetkong Kaketshir Telongjem Mungdang. A brief history of Kobulong was said by T Molong Ltr, Vice Chairman ATC Kubolong.
The jubilee programme was attended by Kobulong adhoc town committee, civil societies and village council representatives from every village under Asetkong range.
EAC Hq Kobulong caters to the administration of the whole Asetkong range. It was under Circle Officers from 1956 and was upgraded to EAC in 1966 when late N.I Jamir was the DC of Mokokchung.
