Based on a complaint filed by a shopkeeper of Sovima ‘F’ village, Diphupar police Thursday arrested a GB of Selouphe village identified as Kedahi Rengma on charges of extortion. Police said according to FIR filed by the shopkeeper, the accused armed with a pistol had demanded Rs. 5,000 from the shopkeeper Tuesday at around 8.30 p.m, and fired two shots when the shopkeeper refused to comply with the demand.
