Inspection of Multipurpose Hall at Kezo

Officials from department of Youth Resources and Sports accompanied by members of Kezoma Urban Station Committee inspected the ongoing work of the “Prefab Multipurpose Hall” at Kezo Town.
The team was led by director of YRS, Kethosituo Sekhose; joint director, Teisobu Sekhose; DSO Kohima Zhopovi Zecho; Executive Engineer Er.Swedi Kiso; Junior Engineer Er.Denben Yanthan and Kezoma Urban Station represented by chairman Mhasivi Naki and vice chairman Zadekhweto, and chairman Kezoma Village Council Kikrosa Naki.


According to Kezoma Urban Station Committee, chairman, Mhasivi Naki, the work was expected to be completed within this year.
It may be recalled that chief minister Neiphiu Rio, at the inaugural of Kezoma Urban Station on October 28, 2022, had announced to sanction a multipurpose hall which can be utilised for public gatherings and functions and also indoor sports stadium.


Meanwhile, Kezoma Urban Station appreciated chief minister for his visionary leadership and assured full support to ensure that the objective of the multipurpose hall was fulfilled.
They also thanked the land donor Kikrosa Naki, chairman Kezoma Village Council for donating land and ensuring that the vision can be fulfilled.
The department of Youth Resources and Sports informed that such “prefab multipurpose hall” has been implemented all over the state owing to its low cost, high quality control and reduction in construction time.


The stadium can accommodate all disciplines of indoor sports for both training and tournament format besides having the flexibility of being used for public gatherings and functions.
State government has already inaugurated five stadiums and more stadiums have been planned for inauguration this year.
Meanwhile, Kezoma Urban Station has requested the department to construct retaining wall and compound concreting for better usage of the upcoming facilities.
