Ao Students Union, Kohima (AKTK) organised an orientation cum induction programme on May 4 for selected aspirants who would be undertaking free coaching for civil service sponsored by the union.
A press release by AKTK informed that the union reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational endeavours within the community by sponsoring free coaching for five deserving aspirants. It said another aspirant was being sponsored by deputy SP, Imotemjen Jamir, who is also the proprietor of Epicentre Coaching Institute, bringing the total to six.
During the programme, AKTK advisor, DCP Chümoukedima police, Watichuchang, encouraged the aspirants to strive for excellence and make the most of the opportunity provided to them.
He urged them to pursue their dreams with unwavering dedication.
In a welcome address, AKTK president Sentilong Longchar said the initiative was based on the AKTK motto “Learn, Labour, Achieve”, to equip the young aspirants with the required resources to compete with the other aspirants.
The programme was chaired by AKTK executive convenor, Imliwapang Ozukum; invocation by AKTK assistant general secretary, Sentinaro Jamir; prayer of blessing for the aspirants by KABA pastor Bendangsashi Walling; short speech by Imotemjen Jamir; short speech on behalf of the aspirants by Imtitula and vote of thanks by AKTK general secretary, Moasunep.
