Deputy director general (Animal Science), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) headquarter, New Delhi, Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, inaugurated the Mithun Products Sales Counter and also laid the foundation stone of the farmers hostel at ICAR-NRC on Mithun on May 1 at Medziphema.
Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, graced the event in the presence of Dr. G. K. Gaur, ADG (AP&B) and Dr. Girish Patil, Director, ICAR – National Research Centre on Mithun. He also inaugurated the facility of the Mithun bull paddock.
After the inauguration, an interactive session was held with the scientists of the institute.
Dr. Bhatta, praised the centre for its remarkable progress, and lauded the dedicated scientists and staff in their endeavors.
Dr. G. K. Gaur, ADG (AP&B) in his remarks highlighted the strides made by centre in the areas of genetics, health, reproduction and nutrition.
He further gave a roadmap for the centre for years ahead.
At the event, publications, including the Annual Report 2023, Technology Inventory and an e-book highlighting the Intellectual Property Rights profile of the ICAR – National Research Centre on Mithun were also inaugurated.
Earlier, Dr. Girish Patil, director gave a presentation on the Centre’s strides in research, infrastructure and financial management.
