District health review meeting in Dimapur

The monthly district health review meeting, including the RMNCAH+N (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health + Nutrition) review, was held at the Conference Hall of Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) Office, Dimapur on August 30.


A press release from IEC Bureau Section, Office of the CMO informed that the meeting focused on identifying and addressing underperforming areas to improve health services before the next review, where the representatives from all health blocks presented their performance on key health indicators, such as maternal and child health, nutrition, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), family planning, and adolescent health.


Block representatives discussed the challenges faced in implementing health programs, fostering a better understanding of the difficulties encountered at the grassroots level.


CMO Dimapur Dr. Limatula Aier, emphasized the need for effective communication between Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Health Units (HUs) to ensure accurate reporting and called for innovative solutions to overcome gaps in field operations.


Dr. Aier also stressed the importance of mandatory attendance at monthly meetings and the crucial role of ASHA Coordinators in disseminating information and supporting ASHAs.


The meeting underscored the commitment to improving health outcomes in the Dimapur district through regular review, enhanced communication, and innovative problem-solving, ultimately benefiting the local communities.
