Nagaland: Mokokchung DPDB holds meeting

The monthly meeting of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Mokokchung was held on October 9 under the chairmanship of NLA speaker and chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sharingain Longkumer at DC’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung.


Taking note of the status report of capital assets from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Sharingain came up with the issue of not having any Trauma Centre in the district.


With the increase of vehicles and commuters, the chairman said that it was pertinent to have trauma centre in order to provide immediate care for patients suffering from major traumatic injuries. He therefore asked the concern department to put up proposal so that it can be materialize in the coming days.


The chairman also asked the PHED department to give detail report in the next meeting regarding the failure of water sources and also to suggest other alternatives in order to discuss and find solution about the scarcity of water in the district.


Status report of capital assets was presented by the department of Art & Culture, Urban Development, Electrical Division, Taxes, Health & Family Welfare, District Institute of Education Training, Land Record & Survey and PHED.


Proposal for inclusion of construction of Multi-utility Complex at Chungtia Village, Mokokchung was approved and forwarded to the government for further action. The department of Social Welfare gave a Power Point presentation.
