Community mobilization PMKSY-WDC 2.0 programme was held at Khezhakeno village, the ancestral village, home of the Nagas on January 28. According to a DIPR report, gracing the function as a special guest, advisor Land Resources, G. Ikuto Zhimomi, said that he was emotional when he first visited Bethlehem in 2018 and today at Khezhakeno which is an ancestral home of the Nagas.
Bringing warm greetings in the name of all Naga brothers and sisters living in different parts of Nagaland, he called upon all Nagas to have mind-sets of Nagas as one and same. He also said “though we are living in differential parts of the state, the traditional, cultural, ways of livings, foods are same.”
Zhimomi also advised the youths to change the mind-sets of differences, fighting and quarrelling among the Nagas which is destroying the societies and also called upon the villagers to co-operate with the government for all round development.
The programme was chaired by Kelhoupe Koza, pastor KCRC, Rev. C. Ngochinyi invoked God’s blessings and welcome speech was delivered by VCC Khezhakeno, D. Lhouchinyi. Short speeches were delivered by commissioner & secretary, Land Resources department, Kevekha Kevin Zehol and DPO Phek, Agnes Phewhou.
Keynote address was presented by director LRD, Albert Ngulli, special number was presented by Krovie Chiezou and friends, Folk song by Neikodo Chikha group, vote of thanks by M. Thochii Koza and benediction by pastor NCRC Khezhakeno, Dikha Sono. The special guest was accompanied by secretary Land Resources Department and officials, where the team also visited Cheda Post.
