Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio on Friday said unity was key to development and appealed to the people to not hold back any developmental activities due to miscommunications.
He urged the leaders to not be divisive but rather to be a unifying leader.
Zhaleo was speaking at the 9th Nuolhou Teisozha (Population Census Day) which is being celebrated after a span of 30 years at Viphoma village.
Zhaleo also applauded the Viphoma village for their contribution to Angami society and Nagas in general, for their remarkable patriotism and contribution during the Naga National movement.
He also reminded of the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Nagas which was once degrading but revived under the efforts and leadership of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.
He also encouraged the youths to actively take part in cultural events to prevent loss of cultural identity.
The event witnessed a presentation of a special number composed by GOC Sazhülie (NNC) Tsiemekhuma for Viphoma Village. The program was chaired by Kehoulelie Khoubve, chairman VCC and a special elderly blessing by Thepfuhieu Peya head GB.
