Nagaland NPF reaffirms ‘unwavering commitment’ to Naga pol issue

Naga People’s Front (NPF) has reaffirmed its “unwavering commitment” to the Naga political issue and its original stand.
NPF through its press bureau said party secretary general Achumbemo Kikon, MLA, while addressing the third oath-taking ceremony of party office bearers at the central office, emphasized the party’s consistent pursuit of resolving the issue through peaceful means, as envisioned by its pioneers.
Kikon said NPF believed in resolving the Naga political issue through peaceful means, which was honourable, acceptable, and inclusive. “We will consistently continue to pursue a negotiated settlement,” he said.
Kikon asserted that the NPF is dedicated to its ideology and philosophy, and will continue to work towards the betterment of the Naga people. The party has initiated programs such as the Village Development Board and Local Area Development Program, which have benefited the people and villages.
Kikon expressed his happiness with Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio for navigating the process of two regional political parties coming together to work for the Naga people.
Further, NPF emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, and hard work among its members. The party captioned that action would be taken against those who fail to adhere to those principles.
NPF stated that party prioritized programmes that benefit the people and villages, adding it would continue to work towards the development of Nagaland.
NPF central women’s wing president, Padmashree Sano Vamuzo, urged party workers to perform their duties wholeheartedly, sincerely, and faithfully. She emphasized that politics was not dirty and that leaders should work for the people, not for vested interests.
The third oath-taking ceremony was administered by NPF working president Pusazo Luruo. The program was chaired by NPF vice president Benjamin Lorin, invocation was offered by NPF vice president S Akho Leyri, and vote of thanks by Central Youth Wing president Imchatoba Imchen.
