According to a press release from PRO, the Governor appreciated the Health & Family Welfare department for its efforts in strengthening healthcare delivery and improving key health indicators in the State. Earlier, the meeting chaired by Health & Family Welfare secretary S. Tainiu featured a detailed presentation on the State’s socio-demographic profile, health infrastructure and achievements in the health sector.
Officials informed the Governor that Nagaland has registered notable progress in key health indicators. Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) has declined, while Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) and Total Fertility Rate (TFR) have also shown marked improvement, reflecting better maternal and child healthcare services.
