Interactive session on entrepreneurship and skills

DIMAPUR: Students of Nagaland University’s School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS) attended a one‑day interactive session on entrepreneurship and professional skills on May 16. The programme was organised under the ICAR‑Tribal Sub‑Plan (ICAR‑TSP) project “Development of Soft Skills, Professional, Business, and Entrepreneurship Skills for Employability amongst Students” in collaboration with Damaso Digital Pvt. Ltd. (The Study Falcon), with NagaEd delivering the content.
NagaEd founder Kevisato Sanyu led the morning session, sharing his journey of building a digital education company in Nagaland. He encouraged students to overcome fear of failure, stressing that creativity and resilience emerge when one accepts setbacks as part of the process. NagaEd has impacted over 96,000 learners and 12,000 educators across the Northeast, partnering with agencies such as NITI Aayog, NSDMA and the Department of School Education. It has also received international recognition, including the TiE50 Judges’ Choice Award at TiEcon Silicon Valley in 2024.
In the afternoon, NagaEd’s head of projects and learning excellence, Aonok Aier, facilitated an activity based on the DISC framework, helping students understand leadership and personality traits. He emphasised that self‑awareness is key to effective leadership, collaboration and entrepreneurship.
Students and faculty described the workshop as one of the most impactful sessions held on campus.
