NFHRCC convenes meeting on May 19

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has convened a joint meeting on May 19 at 11 am its base office, Kher Mahal, Dimapur, following resolutions adopted during a consultative meeting held on May 9 with Dimapur based tribal hohos and core committee members.
According to NFHRCC media cell, all 15 apex tribal hohos of Nagaland have been invited to attend the meeting. The gathering is in continuation of the April 14 resolution adopted at Hotel Saramati, where public agitation was temporarily kept in abeyance at the request of tribal bodies. NFHRCC has requested all concerned to attend the meeting positively.
Further, NFHRCC reiterated to NPWD (R&B) that while awaiting official approval of any mega project from MoRTH, the proposed second phase work must be issued transparently based on the administrative approval already accorded since 2024. It emphasised that the process should be carried out at the earliest through an “open tender” system without bias or favouritism.
