DIMAPUR: Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) and Lotha Students’ Union Diphupar (LSUD) organised separate felicitation programmes to honour HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2026 achievers.
At Kezieke, NASU held its programme on May 15 at NAPO Building. General secretary of Northern Angami Public Organisation, Neisakholie Rüpreo, urged students to pursue education with a vision to serve society and to value honest work. Vice president of Northern Angami Women Organisation, Kezhangunuo Chietsü, advised students to be wise, disciplined and God fearing, while president of Northern Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho, Vikuonuo Khruomo, encouraged them to maintain discipline, honour parents and teachers, and not be discouraged by failures.
Greetings were also shared by Northern Angami Sports Association vice president, Meguoruovi Mepfhü o, and Northern Angami Youth Organisation president, Khriesazo Liezietsu. On behalf of NAYO, gifts were presented to toppers. HSLC Top 4 achiever Thepfukuolie Mere expressed gratitude on behalf of the students. The programme featured a song by NASU women coordinator Ruokuoseü Sanchu, invocation by associate pastor Neiphizo Metha, welcome address by NASU president Meteitoulie Talie, and concluded with a vote of thanks by NASU social and cultural secretary Choice Pielie.
Meanwhile, LSUD organised its felicitation on May 16 at Diphupar Lotha Community Ki. Guest speaker, district public relations officer Wokha, Lolano Patton, advised students to use technology wisely, make informed career choices and acquire technical and vocational skills. She encouraged exploring opportunities in fields such as AI, data science, healthcare, aviation and digital marketing, while also targeting central services.
Chairman of Lotha Community Diphupar, Zubenthung Patton, congratulated achievers and urged them to put God first and pursue their dreams with dedication. Chakhesang Students’ Union Diphupar president, Vemudozo Tetseo, acknowledged the Lotha community’s academic progress, noting several students figured in the HSLC top 20 list.
Earlier, LSUD president Erenbemo O. Murry delivered the presidential address, while Rev. Limhathung Lotha invoked blessings. Certificates were handed over by guest speaker Lolano Patton. The programme also featured a musical presentation by Longaro W. Okhopvui, speech by Tumchobemo Ovung on behalf of achievers, vote of thanks by DNSU representative Chonben Odyuo, and benediction by Jenibemo Kithan. It was compered by Mharoni Shiteri and Ronsuo Tsopoe.
