DIMAPUR: Tripura Power Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, hosted Nagaland’s advisor for New and Renewable Energy, Er. Picto Shohe, at his chamber in the State Secretariat on June 23, 2026 for discussions aimed at deepening ties between the two Northeastern states.

Renewable energy expansion and welfare driven initiatives dominated the talks, with both leaders examining how closer coordination among Northeast states and fresh thinking in the energy sector could accelerate regional development. Nath observed that such interactions strengthen bonds among Northeastern states and open doors for shared progress. He added that joint efforts in renewable energy could secure long term sustainability and raise living standards across the region.
He further noted that frequent dialogue between state governments allows for the exchange of practical experiences and effective strategies, thereby building stronger regional ties and speeding up overall progress.
