AR launch ‘Meri Life initiative’; hold medical camp

Assam Rifles launched “Meri Life Initative” programme in Mokokchung on May 6.
According to Assam Rifles source, at the event, the troops were briefed about the LiFE – Life For Environment initiative launched by Indian Government as a mass movement for “mindful and deliberate utilization, instead of mindless and destructive consumption of resources” and to protect and preserve the precious environment.


On the occasion, a pledge ceremony was also undertaken by the Assam Rifles troops and families to save the environment.
In another event, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Sheanghah Wamsa in Mon district on May 6. A total of 162 individuals from nearby villages which included 34 males, 43 females and 85 children benefitted from the medical camp. Lecture on living Healthy lifestyle, awareness and general medicine was also imparted to the local populace.
Meanwhile, the locals expressed gratitude towards Assam Rifles and appreciated the sincere efforts in providing medical care in such far-flung areas.
