In view of the onset of monsoon season, Assam Rifles conducted an anti-Malaria awareness campaign and fogging drive in Old Phek village, Phek district, June 17, 2025.
According to Assam Rifles sources, the initiative involved a door-to-door awareness campaign, reaching out to 110 households. A thorough fogging drive was undertaken around residential areas, drainage systems and common spaces. Residents were educated on anti-malaria precautions and preventive measures to curb the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. Reaffirming its commitment to the health and well-being of the local population, Assam Rifles continue to conduct such proactive initiatives in the future.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Phek Basa, Phek, on June 16, 25.
The medical camp was attended by 128 locals, including 74 females and children.
Doctors and para medical staff from Assam Rifles and civil administration conducted the camp and provided requisite medical assistance and medicines to the locals.
