A two-day block level training on “foundational literacy and numeracy” was conducted at EBRC (Samagra Shiksha) Chiephobozou conference hall on April 29 and 30.
A press release from the trainees stated that in a short speech, Chiephobozou SDEO, Ketousielie Keditsu said that foundational literacy and numeracy was the groundwork in the early part of the education system.
He also said since Kohima was the mirror of Nagaland, a teacher in the capital must set good examples.
Resource persons for the training were coordinator Kekhriengulie Rülho, Tirsha Thapa TOT and Vibeizolie Yashü TOT while two teachers presented the day’s topic each day.
The inaugural function was chaired by coordinator, DMA Kohima, project assistant Peteneilhou Rüpreo offered the invocation and also delivered a keynote address. Altogether 32 schools participated in the training.
