In observance of World Environment Day 2025 and as part of monsoon preparedness efforts, a cherry tree plantation drive and mass social work will be conducted on June 5 in Chozuba Town.
The initiative will see the active participation of all government employees, civil society organizations (CSOs), ward representatives, and the general public. The drive aims to enhance green cover, improve public spaces, and ensure cleanliness and safety ahead of the monsoon season.
Work Assignments have been delegated as follows: Hospital park and vicinity by Medical and CTWWS; GA rest house park and vicinity by Housing and PHED; local ground and GHSS by SDEO, Forest and SDAO; ADC’s new office site by the District Administration, SBI, Sub Treasury and NSCB Ltd.; Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall by Veterinary and Police; ‘Y‘ junction to ECHS by DIC and CTYA; ‘Y’ junction to zero point by business union; ‘Y’ junction ADC office junction by BSF, SIB and CDPO; Zero point to Hospital via local ground by CTCSU; Zero point to NST by Power, NST and EBRC; Zero point to Catholic church by BDO Chetheba and BDO Sekruzu; ADC office junction to ADC residence by Soil and Water Conservation; ADC office junction to Yoruba junction by NKVIB, PWD (R & B) and 5th NAP; Photo collection and wide publicity will be done by the Department Information and Public Relations.
EAC Chozuba will act as the overall in-charge of the plantation and cleanup drive. Town Councillors have been tasked with mobilizing ward residents.
