Cleanliness drive in Longleng

Students and staffs of Good Shepherd High School Longleng carried out cleanliness drive across Longleng town on account of Gandhi Jayanti for the 15th year.
The drive carried out on the theme, “Education through Service”, began 8:30am in the school premises and concluded 11:30am with active participation of students from class-5 to class-10. Headmaster of the school, Binoy V. George urged the students on the need to keep the surrounding and environment clean. Meanwhile, proprietor of the school, Paul H. Bulong recalled the first social work conducted in the year 2000 and shared his views about the reason for keeping October 2 as the day of mass cleanliness drive in the school curriculum. He said it began with the motive to follow the twin principles of Gandhiji which were, ‘value of work and service’.
