Coaching centres in Mon directed to register by May 31

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, has issued a notification informing all coaching centres in Mon district to mandatorily apply for registration on or before May 31, 2026. The directive follows the constitution of the District Level Committee for Registration and Regulation of Coaching Centres in pursuance of government notification.
According to the guidelines, any establishment or coaching centre providing tuition, instructions or guidance to more than 20 students for any programme, competitive examinations or academic support must apply for registration. Application forms are available at the DC’s office, Mon.
The notification further clarified that in case of coaching centres having multiple branches, each branch will be treated as a separate entity, requiring submission of separate applications for registration.
The DC’s office has urged all coaching centres operating within Mon district to comply with the directive to ensure proper regulation and accountability in line with government policy.
