Conrad Sangma reviews party’s progress in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, OCT 11 (NPN)

National People’s Party (NPP) national president and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K. Sangma, who is on a three-day visit to Manipur and Nagaland, on Saturday arrived Nagaland and held a series of consultative and interactive meetings with NPP Nagaland state unit leaders and representatives.
NPP Nagaland state unit through its media & IPR cell informed that Sangma reviewed the party’s progress and discussed strategies for further growth in the State while engaging with various organizational levels and frontal wings.
He appreciated the proactive efforts of the party’s state leadership and assured full support and cooperation from the National headquarters.
Sangma also called for continued teamwork, discipline, and shared commitment in the run-up to the 2028 Nagaland assembly elections and the 2029 parliamentary elections.
Sangma, who was accompanied by party’s national general secretary Paknga Bage, national secretary Saidul Hussain and Natioanl youth president Nicky Lyngdoh, also interacted with NPP councillors from Dimapur and Kohima. He later met with the state frontal wings — including NPP women’s front (NPWF), NPP youth front (NPYF), and NPP minority front (NPMF).
NPP state unit said Sangma’s visit marked a significant step towards strengthening coordination between the National leadership and the Nagaland state unit of the party.
During the course of the meetings, representations were submitted by the state units and various organizational wings, highlighting important issues and recommendations to strengthen the party’s structure from the state level down to the district and grassroots levels.
State unit said discussions cantered around capacity building, district-level coordination, membership expansion, leadership training, youth and women empowerment, and enhanced communication and outreach mechanisms to ensure effective functioning and unity across all levels.
NPP Nagaland leadership expressed deep gratitude to party’s national president Conrad K. Sangma for his visit and reaffirmed their dedication to the NPP’s principles of inclusive growth, transparency, and good governance for the people of Nagaland.
Earlier, Sangma met leader of the party in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Nuklutoshi Longkumer, along with NPP MLAs of the State. he also held meeting with the state office bearers, led by the State President A. Nyamnyei Konyak.
