CTC informs sand carrier, transporting loose materials

In an effort to maintain public safety and reduce environmental impact, Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) has issued mandatory directives for all sand carrier vehicles operating within Chümoukedima Town jurisdiction to cover their load with tarpaulin.

A press release by CTC stated that all commercial vehicles transporting sand and other loose materials must be equipped with secure and waterproof tarpaulin covers to prevent spillage and minimize dust pollution.

The directive aims to reduce risk of accidents caused by loose debris on roads, minimize environmental pollution from dust and sand, and also ensure public safety and maintain cleanliness in the town.

Vehicle owners and operators have been advised to comply with this directive to avoid penalties and fines, adding that defaulter (s) would be penalized as per provision of law.
It further added that Chümoukedima Town Council would conduct regular inspection to enforce compliance.
