District Health Society (DHS), Mon, held an ASHA review meeting for Phomching, Aboi 2, and Mon blocks on September 11 at the Mon Town Council Hall, aimed at strengthening grassroots health service delivery across the district.
The meeting, led by block ASHA coordinators, was addressed by DPO (RCH & UIP), Dr. Wungyong, who emphasized the importance of timely reporting and task completion for incentive disbursement. He reiterated the vital role ASHAs play in implementing key health programmes, including antenatal care, institutional deliveries, vaccinations, and home-based newborn care (HBNC). He also encouraged ASHAs to promote the use of Birth Waiting Homes.
District Programme Manager, Moie Bonnie Konyak, urged ASHAs to remain proactive and communicate challenges with their coordinators. She noted that activity logs and registrations would be reviewed during the session.
VCCM (UIP), Changlang, highlighted the district’s low immunization coverage and stressed the need for improved performance through the UWIN portal and ASHA module. MTS DVBDC, Benjongtemsu, presented on malaria management, outlining reporting formats and operational roles.
The meeting concluded with detailed discussions led by ASHA coordinators on key operational areas including incentives, drug kits, reporting formats, MPV–Nayi Peheli Kit/Saas Bahu Samelin, progress tracking, death registration, EPHC activities, and verification of maternal and child health records.
