A joint meeting of the District Task Force for Routine Immunization and Urban Immunization was held on June 3 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Dimapur.
At the meeting, Rajesh Monsang, RPO – UNDP, explained the management of cold chain points in the district through eVIN (Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network), a digital system that monitors vaccine storage, stock levels, and expiry dates. He also introduced U-WIN, a digital platform launched to track vaccination records, beneficiaries, and integrate with eVIN for efficient vaccine management.
In Dimapur, 72 public health facilities, 13 private health facilities, and 298 session sites use the U-WIN portal. Currently, an Annual Head Count Survey for Routine Immunization is being conducted across the district to identify eligible individuals and create a well-planned immunization strategy.
ADC Dimapur, Zakabo V. Rotokha, praised U-WIN and eVaccination Certificates as practical and effective tools for tracking vaccines and beneficiaries.
Other officials present included Dr. Kavito Zhimomi (DPO-CD-I), CDPO (U) Limasangla, representatives from Lions Club Dimapur, and staff from CMO Dimapur.
The program was chaired by Dr. Rongsennungla (DPO RCH-UIP), who shared the district’s immunization status. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from CMO Dimapur, Dr. Temsu Lkr.
