
The state government, its agencies and have been conducting meetings, issuing directives and taking preventive measures to contain the spread of the virus.
BLTF meeting: Block level task force (BLTF) convened an emergency meeting at ADC’s conference hall, Pfutsero on May 3. The meeting was chaired by ADC Pfutsero.
According to DIPR report, ADC highlighted the SOPs and guidelines issued by the government.
The meeting was informed that a separate coordination meeting was held with all the pastors of Pfutsero town to discuss on the consolidated guidelines and to strictly adhere to it.
The pastors were requested to devise system congruent with the SOPs and to ensure that all preventive measures were put in place.
In view of the guideline limiting the occupancy of inter and intra district private and passenger vehicles to 50% of the total occupancy, it was felt that the taxi fares had to be revised. In this direction, a revised rate for taxi fares was discussed and the order would be issued accordingly.
Shops/business establishments will not hike price of any commodity without prior approval from the authority.
The house discussed that traders union and consumer organisation would look into this issue and report of any such hike in prices of commodities for subsequent actions.
The meeting also discussed the issue of some household not having a proper isolation room.
In this regard, it was decided that all the ward chairman/GBs would identify an isolation centre in their respective colony for cases where isolation was not possible within their house.
However, it was informed that the food, lodging and other logistics had to be borne by their own family members.
Meanwhile, it was decided to arrange a Covid Care Centre (CCC) at GMS Pfutsero, TT hall and restroom of the Pfutsero sports complex in addition to the arrangement made at the CHC Pfutsero in order to accommodate any exigencies.
The district administration along with Pfutsero town welfare committee would make necessary arrangement of logistics and make the facility available for use at the earliest.
All the members were informed that the meeting would convene anytime as and when required for which all were asked to attend positively.
DC Dimapur: DC & DDMA chairman, Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan has ordered the sealing of Union bank of India, Dimapur for 48 hours from the date of issuing this order during which, necessary sanitisation of the premises would be done by the management.
Any person violating the containment measures would be penalised as per the provisions of Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under IPC section 188.
COVID-appropriate behaviour at DC office: In view of the rapid surge in COVID-19 cases in the district, the Dimapur district administration has instructed all officers, staff and visitors to the DC office Dimapur to mandatorily wear face mask, practice social distancing and practice hand hygiene at all times.
In an order, the deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan stated that no visitors would be allowed entry for purpose of selling any items of handicraft, tickets, calendar, badges etc.
Only authorized vehicles would be allowed entry into the DC office complex and all other vehicles would be parked outside the complex.
DC informed that there would be no public interview on Wednesdays and Saturdays except for matters of very urgent nature and matters concerning law and order. The public visiting hours would be between 11am and 1pm from Monday to Friday except Wednesday.
Further, DC stated that no visitors would have access to any file or noting from any file except through laid down procedure of the RTI act.
DC reminded that the authorized officer/staff/dealing assistant/peon would be accountable for safe custody and proper handling of files and records.
Meanwhile, DC informed that Aadhaar correction/enrolment, issue of ST/indigenous certificate, society registration/renewal would remain temporarily suspended.
