Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH) has informed that it would be holding a silent procession on April 1, 2016 at Kiphire town against the March 2 incident at Seyochung village and also for the failure to positively respond to Eastern Sumi Hoho ultimatum served on DC, ESH president L. Kahuvi Sumi stated.
Eastern Sumi Hoho has requested all the apex body under ESH to take part in the rally without fail.
Corrigendum: Apropos the news item ‘ESH 4-pt charter of demands’, Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH) secretary Isac Sumi has clarified that the house that was demolished took place on March 2 and that they were informed about the incident on March 6 and not as stated.
KTDSSU: Kiphire Tuensang District Sumi Students Union (KTDSSU) has condemned the March 2 incident and stated that it strongly supported the 4-point charter of demands put forth by the ESH to deputy commissioner Kiphire on March 24.
In a letter to the DC, KTDSSU president Bothuka Sumi and general secretary Kakika Z. Sumi has urged the district administration to fulfill the demands without further delay.
