FGN Ao, Rengma back NNC chief

Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) of Ao and Rengma regions have declared that they will continue to support Naga sovereignty under the leadership of Gen (Retd) Thinoselie M. Keyho and Namrikiu the acting Kedahge of the FGN. In a press release, Midan Peyu Ao Region, Lipok Chuba condemned the emergency Tatar Hoho meeting held at K. Basa village and termed it as “unlawful” as it was held without the consent of the kedahge.

It further clarified that Ao region government was not a party to such events and announced that it will uphold the plebiscite 16th May 1951, which endorsed the Naga Independence declaration on Aug 14, 1947. In another press release, midan reyn, Daniel said that no representative from the region attended the meeting held on September 23 as it was found to be unconstitutional.


It assured that the Rengma Region government will support the NNC and FGN in upholding the 14th August 1947 declaration of the Naga Independence and the plebiscite of 16th May 1951 and will continue to work for the nation under NNC president Gen (Retd) Thinoselie M. Keyho and Namrikiu the acting Kedahge of FGN.
