GB union Athibung area clarifies

Coming out in support of the ban on vehicles carrying log and timber in Athibung Area by deputy commissioner Peren, the GB Union Athibung Area has clarified that the order was in the general interest of the people, particularly Athibung area, and therefore directed the Nagaland Timber Traders’ Union (NTTU) not to issue press statements regarding the ban.
In a press note, chairman GB Union Athibung Area, Thanghen and head GB Athibung Town, Thanghao K, informed the ban was necessitated, especially during rainy season as heavy vehicles deteriorate the road, causing hardship for small vehicles to ply.
