
Nagaland governor RN Ravi, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy CM Y. Patton have extended greetings to the Zeliang community and to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Mileinyi festival.
In his message, Ravi said Mileinyi celebrates purity, benefaction, prosperity and longevity, adding that traditional games, dances and songs were inherent part of this beautiful festival. He said the festival also provides a platform for the young people to carry forward the rich and beautiful cultural legacies of the Zeliangs. Ravi wished all good health, happiness and prosperity on the auspicious occasion.
The chief minister also wished all a safe and a happy festival of invoking bountiful blessings from God. “May all your endeavours be successful in all spheres of life,” Rio said in a tweet.
Dy.CM: Sate deputy chief minister Y Patton also greeted the Zeliang and Sangtam communities on the occasion of Mileinyi and Tsohsu celebrated on March 11 and March 12 respectively.
In a message, Patton said festivals were inherent part of Naga culture and maintained that its upkeep was the responsibility of the present generation.
Patton called upon all to join hands for peace and prosperity in the state as they partake in the celebrations.
