Nagaland governor La Ganesan and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the members of the Malayali community on the occasion of Onam festival.
In his message, Ganesan said Onam festival, which marks the return of legendary king Mahabali, also it signifies love, brotherhood and communal harmony. He said Onam festival is the harvest festival and brings out the remarkable and amazing display of culture and beauty of Kerala. He wished happiness to all on the auspicious occasion.
Wishing Happy Onam to all who are celebrating the festival, the chief minister prayed that the occasion bring immense happiness and good fortune.
Meanwhile, deputy CM T.R. Zeliang also extended greetings and said that Onam festival is an important event in the life of Malayali community as the festival is celebrated with enthusiasm and splendour to mark new harvest and invoke blessing for prosperity.
