ICFAI University launches ‘Kairos’ lecture series

School of Humanities and School of Social Sciences, ICFAI University, Nagaland, initiated the “Kairos Lecture Series” on September 26, with an aim to foster an enriched academic atmosphere.


The bi-monthly series will feature lectures from various university departments, offering students a chance to engage critically with contemporary topics from diverse fields.


Head of the Philosophy Department, Rovikoto Yhoshu, kicked off the series with a lecture on “The Problem of Free Will”. Dr. Kikarenla Jamir from the English department spotlighted the significance of soft skills in her talk, “Bridging the Gap through Soft Skills: From Classroom to the Workplace”, while on October 3, Jamir emphasized the value of honing soft skills for both personal and professional growth, underlining that they are abilities which can be refined over time.


The lecture series has been anticipated to be a major academic highlight, fostering cross-departmental learning and discussions.
