Kohima police arrest three

Chiephobozou police station personnel arrested a driver of an unregistered vehicle on charges of possessing 35 cases of MC Rum (750 ml) and 20 cases of canned beer on June 7.

According to Kohima police PRO, the police team intercepted the bolero pick-up and recovered the IMFL from the accused identified as one Vito Awomi (22) while conducting checking at around 2 p.m.

In this connection, a case was registered with Chiephobozou police station for further investigation.  In another incident, South police station personnel arrested two persons Vishal Das (21) and Vizo Tsuzuh on charges of possessing 70 cases of assorted IMFL near custom office along NH-2 on June 7. According to PRO, the police personnel intercepted a Mahindra bolero (NL 05C 2894) and recovered the IMFL, leading to the arrest of the two individuals. A case was registered with the south police station for investigation, PRO informed.
