LASU concerned over delays in development projects

DIMAPUR: The Longchang Area Students’ Union (LASU) has expressed deep concern over the slow progress of developmental activities in the region, attributing the stagnation largely to disruptions caused by multiple taxation.
In a press release, the union stated that such practices continue to hamper the smooth implementation of development projects and adversely affect the welfare of the people.
LASU strongly cautioned all organisations, NGOs, and individuals against engaging in activities that obstruct development within its jurisdiction. The union appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate and refrain from any action that could hinder or sabotage ongoing and future developmental works.
The union further asserted that any individual or group found obstructing developmental activities undertaken for the benefit of the public would be held accountable.
It stated that the union would take appropriate action within its mandate to ensure that such practices are stopped immediately.
Reiterating its commitment to the welfare and progress of the area, LASU called for collective efforts to facilitate timely execution of development projects and ensure that the benefits reach the people without unnecessary delays.
