LBCPC condemnsassault on pastor

The Lotha Baptist Churches Pastors’ Conference (LBCPC) expressed deep shock and distress over the brutal physical assault and violent attack at gunpoint on an innocent Pastor, Rhanlamo Kikon of Yanpha Baptist Church on August 24, by one Akhekevi son of Ahovi of Kiyzu ‘B’ Village, a cadre of Khango led-NSCN (Khango) faction, without any valid reason.

A press release by Lotha Baptist Churches Pastors’ Conference stated that the act of the so called “Nation Worker” was direct disregard for Naga society as a whole.

Pointing that Nagas steadfastly and strongly adheres on the notion “Nagaland for Christ”, the release added that the act and behavior of Akhekevi of NSCN (Khango) faction however was unwarranted, anti-naga, and exhibits disrespect for ambassadors of Christ and dedicated spiritual leaders of all faith.

The release added that such act of animalism was unbecoming of a trained nation worker, which every right thinking Nagas should not hesitate and condemn in one voice.

Lotha Baptist Churches Pastors’ Conference has thereby vehemently condemned such kind of brutal and barbaric physical assault on a servant of God which was totally unacceptable in a Christian state like Nagaland.
