Mkg gears up to celebrate 125 years of existence from Nov

Various activities have been planned, as Mokokchung geared up to celebrate 125 years of its existence. 
Celebration would begin from November onwards on the theme, “Pioneering ahead”. 
To oversee the activities a core committee has been formed led by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel as chairman. 
Briefing the details of the activities, the chairman said as a prelude to the celebrations, a motor rally will be flagged off by the DC Mokokchung on November 4 to be organized by Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) in collaboration with district administration and MDACC. 
The rally will cover all the administrative HQs of the district. Participants will distribute pamphlets/posters/banners of the celebration along the route. Representatives from district administration and Core Committee will also take part in the rally.  The rally will halt at Chungtiayimsen for the night and return back to Mokokchung the next day. Again an autocross/motocross will be held from November 6-7 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex as part of the celebration to be organized by AMAM. In addition to this Mokokchung Arts & Aesthetics Management (MAAM) will organize Miss Mokokchung Beauty Pageant on November 6 at the Town Hall Mokokchung. The celebrations will culminate with the annual Cake Race and Midnight Service on December 24 and 31. Main celebration scheduled from December 14 to 17 would be graced by state chief minister, T.R. Zeliang as chief guest.
