Mkg Police arrest 2 NSCN (Khango) members

In a significant breakthrough, Mokokchung Police arrested two individuals, Olemmeren (21), NSCN (Khango)’SS Razuo Peyu S/O Imtisosang V/O-Yaongyimsen PO PS-Changtongya and Apong Phom (32), NSCN(Khango) ‘SS.Sectional Officer’ S/O late Moba Phom V/0-Yongam PO/PS-Longlen from Penli ward Mokokchung on May 23 in connection with an abduction case.
According to PRO, the victim, who was abducted, was later released after a ransom of Rs. 50,000 was paid.
Upon receiving this information, Mokokchung Police personnel swung into action and immediately launched a manhunt. Their efforts culminated in a hot pursuit leading to the arrest of the accused individuals in Assam, from where they were brought back to Mokokchung.
A regular case has been registered against the arrested persons under the relevant sections of the law. The investigation into the case is still ongoing as of the filing of this report.
