Mkg VDB holds conference

The general conference of Village Development Board (VDB), Mokokchung district was held on April 26 at Town Hall, Mokokchung with Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, as the guest of honor.
A DIPR report stated that, DC in his speech, termed Village Council and VDB as unique institution that played an important role in the community for development and peaceful co-existence. He said the village council and village development board were like the grass-root level planning department, therefore, there should be strong coordination between the two.
President, of Mokokchung district VDB Association, Dr. Imtinungba Atsongchanger delivered the introductory speech and keynote address was delivered by Project Director (DRDA Mokokchung), Toshimongla Kichu.
Short speeches were delivered by council chairman, Chuchuyimpang, Temsumoa Imsong, Council chairman, Mongchen, Aonungsang Mollier, and council chairman, Chakpa, Imkonglemba while vote of thanks was proposed by Imtiyanger Imchen, executive member.
