Reacting to the report circulating in media and social media regarding the identities and background of the Pahalgam attackers, the Directorate of Public Relations, Ministry of Defence (MoD) has clarified no authorised media handle of the Indian Armed Forces has prepared or issued any such document. It further stated that no remarks of this nature have been made by the Armed Forces Public Relations Offices or any nominated spokespersons. It said that the report being circulated appears to be a compilation of information on post-encounter findings, collated from open sources.
