NSCN/GPRN general secretary, Th. Muivah, will be returning to Nagaland where he is expected to hold a series of meetings with high level functionaries of his government. Muivah who is 85, is likely to reach Dimapur on February 4 along with senior leaders of the NSCN/GPRN from New Delhi. Sources said that during his visit, the general secretary will be taking crucial decision on appointment/induction of NSCN/GPRN chairman and vice chairman, the two posts which have fallen vacant. It maybe be noted that the posts was left vacant following the demise of NSCN/GPRN founding leader late Isak Chishi Swu in the year 2016 and later then vice chairman, late ‘Gen’ (Rtd) Khole Konyak in the year 2018. Names of two leaders are doing the rounds for the two top posts. When contacted NSCN/GPRN sources neither confirmed nor denied but said mentioning names at this stage was not appropriate.
