Nagaland EDTC urges public cooperation for Sugar Mill Nalla Project

DIMAPUR

East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has appealed to all individuals, organizations, and residents under its jurisdiction—including Mount View, Purana Bazar ‘B’, and Darogajan—to extend full cooperation to the Brahmaputra Board for the implementation of the Sugar Mill Nalla drainage project.
The resolution was adopted during a coordination meeting held on November 10 at the residence of the EDTC chairperson, attended by representatives from the Model Colony Council, Darogajan Council, Mount View Council, and Purana Bazar ‘B’ Council.
EDTC has directed all concerned to remove any building structures, walls, plantations, or other obstructions falling within the proposed drainage alignment by November 30, 2025. Non-compliance may result in removal of such obstructions without further notice. The council emphasized that public support was crucial for the timely and successful execution of this vital drainage development initiative, which aims to benefit the entire community.
