Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur, celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on October 31 at Government Middle School, Jharnapani to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and honor his monumental contribution towards the political and cultural integration of India.
The programme commenced with the Rashtriya Ekta pledge administered by Dr. Phool Kumari, Senior Scientist-cum-head, KVK Dimapur, reaffirming the commitment of all participants to uphold the spirit of unity and integrity of the nation. It was followed by an inspiring lecture on “One India, Great India” delivered by Dr. Bendangla Imsong, Chief Technical Officer who emphasized the vision and initiatives of the government of India aimed at promoting cultural harmony and strengthening the emotional bonds among citizens across various states and union territories.
Dr. Imsong encouraged the students to develop appreciation and respect for the diverse languages, traditions, and cultural heritage of different communities across the state and the nation. She urged them to act as ambassadors of unity by celebrating diversity as a source of strength and national pride. The session was followed by an interactive discussion between KVK staff, teachers and students, allowing participants to share their views and reflections on the importance of unity in diversity.
The event was chaired by Dr. Moanaro, technical officer, and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Pynshailang Mawthoh, technical officer. A total of 176 participants, including KVK Dimapur staff, teachers, and students, actively took part in the programme, making it a meaningful and inspiring celebration of national unity and integrity.
