NCM performs at National Cultural Festival, Mumbai

After a successful performance at the Republic Day Celebrations at the Red Fort Lawns in January, on invitation, Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) performed at Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav (National Cultural Festival) in Mumbai on February 13.
The choir comprise of 20 students of Nagaland Conservatory of Music who were professionally trained as part of an under graduate music degree programme.
NCM has represented Nagaland and India in Norway, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Ireland in collaboration with ICCR and the Indian Missions in those countries besides numerous acclaimed performances in the country.
Nagaland Conservatory of Music was led by Hito Kiho who serves as a conducting faculty at Nagaland Conservatory of Music.
It may be mentioned that Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) was established in the year 2012 in Dimapur under the visionary leadership of Lipokmar Tzudir, with an aim to prepare students as musicians, scholars, teachers and to provide the community with performance, scholarship and education.
In the last 10 years of its existence, NCM has successfully provided specialized music education and professional training at the highest international level, enabling students to develop musical skills, knowledge, understanding and resourcefulness which have enabled many to contribute significantly to the musical life in this country and internationally.
Hundreds of musicians and artistes from within the country, besides artistes from the Philippines, Korea and France have taken residency at NCM to progress their professional practices/careers while contributing tremendously to the local community.
