NDGBA lauds Niuland–Ghotovi road progress

DIMAPUR

Niuland District GB’s Association (NDGBA) has expressed appreciation to the Government of Nagaland for initiating long-awaited repair works along the Niuland–Ghotovi road, a key stretch of the historic British-era Bokajan route linking several villages to Kohima.
According to NDGBA media cell, during a recent site inspection, NDGBA members commended the chief minister, minister for Roads & Bridges, minister of Ghaspani–I, advisors to the Government, MLAs of Niuland and Dimapur districts, and officials of the PWD including the Executive Engineer, SDO, JE and field staff for their collective efforts in addressing one of the region’s most persistent infrastructure needs.
The Association noted “visible progress” on the ground and shared that residents, after nearly two decades of waiting, now feel a renewed sense of hope. Quoting, “After the rain, there is always a rainbow,” the NDGBA emphasized its gratitude and optimism for the development.
The Niuland–Ghotovi road, which connects Hovishe, Rengma, and Angami areas, plays a vital role in regional connectivity. NDGBA urged villagers and commuters to extend full cooperation to the executing department to ensure timely completion of the project.
The Association further appealed to the government to expedite the black-topping phase to ensure durable road quality and enhanced mobility for local communities.
