NDPP 8th Western Angami A/C has condemned the alleged impersonation of minster of Horticulture and Women Resource Development, Salhoutuonuo Kruse in various social media platforms.
In a press note, NDPP president, Mhiesilhoukho Yalie and Khrietuo Angami such “malicious act” was nothing “short of character assassination and defamation, creating communal hatred and enmity”. The party said that Salhoutuonuo was an elected representative of 8th Western Angami A/C in the 14th NLA, and held an upright moral in the society without an iota of doubt. She was a bonafide daughter of Kiruphema village married to Er. Kevisekho Kruse, who was also a bonafide son of Khonoma village both from Angami tribe under Kohima district.
Therefore, she has no relation with the Meiteis or Mizos under any circumstances whatsoever. The party also said that Salhoutuonuo does not have any issues nor said anything on the ongoing Manipur crisis but was praying for peaceful environment and co-existence in Manipur. In this regard, the NDPP 8th A/C said that dragging the name of the minister into the Manipur crisis was “inhumane and uncalled for” and appealed to the concerned authorities to investigate the matter with utmost priority and book the culprits at the earliest.
