Nationalist Institute of Technology & Innovation (NITI), Nagaland celebrated its 25th anniversary of its foundation day on March 27 at its Dimapur centre located at Marwari Patti.
A short programme was held with the team members, where MD, NITI Nagaland, Ajay Sethi, shared that the event was organized to rededicate themselves to the welfare of the youth and the betterment of the state.
He underscored that the institute prioritizes practical learning over theoretical knowledge, as students tend to prefer hands-on experience rather than reading books and is set to launch an incubation center to develop local entrepreneurs, further strengthening the economic and educational landscape of Nagaland.
He also emphasized the importance of ensuring 24/7 power availability in the state and highlighted how Artificial General Intelligence have rapidly transform the world. He discussed the challenge of keeping pace with the fast advancements in technology and global change in the state.
He noted the potential for Nagaland to play a significant role in trade between India and Southeast Asia, particularly with the growing connectivity through improved road networks and called Dimapur as a rapidly growing city, often referred to as a “Mini India,” where diverse cultures blend and contribute to its growth.
Emphasizing the significance of online jobs and mobile apps, he envisioned a future where people in the state can tap into global job opportunities and embrace remote work. He concluded with optimism, recognizing the importance of adapting to rapid changes and addressing emerging challenges. He also expressed gratitude to the team and community who have contributed to building the institute over the years.
The members emphasized the importance for teachers, especially those from outside the state, to connect with students on a psychological level. They suggested that by working on the root level it increases the potentiality of the students to grow and thrive.
The faculty also reflected on the strong team spirit and deepening bond with students and praising one another for fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. They also discussed plans for the upcoming 25th Annual Day scheduled for June 18.
Later, a cake-cutting ceremony was held with Ajay Sethi and team members along with NEET-JEE students.
