Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) has appealed to the state government to immediately intervene and ensure smooth conduct of scheduled LL.B examinations.
In a representation addressed to the chief secretary, NLSF president C Talimoa and education secretary Shenti Simon C said that with the tentative examination for 1st, 3rd and 5th Semester LL.B (offline mode) scheduled to start from October 5, 2020, the safety of students should not be compromised at any cost. The federation stated that COVID-19 pandemic has affected the academic activity of the students of three law colleges in the state—Kohima Law College, Mokokchung Law college and City Law College, Dimapur—as semester activities were hampered and examinations remained uncertain putting the future of the students at stake.
NLSF also stated that many students could face difficulties in numerous ways due to COVID-19 restrictions. The federation has, therefore, urged the state government to direct the respective district administration by issuing necessary so the students could sit for their exams.
