NMC publishes 2nd list of registered allopathic doctors

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has published the second list of all registered allopathic medical practitioners serving in the government sector or practicing in hospitals, nursing homes and clinics registered under the Nagaland Health Care Establishment Authority for public awareness.,
According to registrar NMC, Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase, the qualifications of practitioners are those recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) and duly registered with the State Medical Council. Proprietors of private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics have been cautioned to employ only registered medical practitioners.
The Council further reminded that only registered medical practitioners are permitted to serve or practice modern medicine as mandated by the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, and the Nagaland Medical Council Act, 2014.
It also reiterated that all serving and practicing allopathic doctors must renew their registration every five years.
